Each Measure Feature: Rob Eberle

FEATURE

In a personal collection of five songs about experiences with bullying, depression, anxiety, and parental divorce, Rob Eberle’s debut EP “Collateral Damage” is a pop-rock masterpiece that can’t be missed. Eberle is a young singer, songwriter, and producer from Long Island. Growing up, Eberle saw music as a guiding light in a chaotic and isolated upbringing. He began playing guitar at eight and writing music at age 12. From the lyrics to the melodies, Eberle’s music is self-made. All the songs in his discography are a peek into influential moments of his life. “Collateral Damage” does exactly that– it is an emotional series of songs that outline his tumultuous journey from adolescence to adulthood.

“Collateral Damage” was released on July 12th. Eberle collaborated with producer Blake Stokes, mixer Andrew Castillo, and John Buser. The EP is explicitly raw and emotional. Eberle was not afraid to be vulnerable, creating a relatable musical experience for his audience who have endured similar psychological battles. From start to end, listeners are taken on a journey alongside Eberle through his darkest moments and his rise to healing. Musically, the EP is a collection of low-tempo and exciting melodies led by electric and acoustic guitar, and piano. Eberle’s soft voice in combination with these somber, rock-inspired melodies offers readers a comforting musical hug.
