FEATURE
Edinburgh-based Alternative Rock artist Marky Wildtype is as DIY and homemade as it gets. His newest single “Tomorrow” released on June 7th is the emotional climax of the coming album, “If Destroyed Still True.” Marky Wildtype is a songwriter, musician, and producer whose music is inspired by staunchly “Rock” beginnings. In addition to his solo work, Wildtype is also a part of an Alt-Folk band the Jig Show. Songwriting has been a constant factor in his musical career, and “Tomorrow” is a great show of his musical talent.
“Tomorrow” is no doubt a rock song. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions musically and lyrically. Led by an anthemic guitar melody, Marky Wildtype uses his instrumental talents to create exciting ups and downs in the music. Lyrically, “Tomorrow” is raw and genuine. He writes about the vulnerable feelings that revolve around leaving things unsaid in a relationship. Marky Wildtype’s vocals perfectly match the anthemic vibe of the lyrics; passionate yet fatigued by emotions. In his voice, you can hear how he has almost given up on communication in the relationship he sings of. Written, arranged, recorded, and mixed by Marky Wildtype, “Tomorrow” will hit you in your emotional core.
