From a challenging upbringing to an Ivy League school attendance, Graphene’s unique journey has led him to his fourth project release, “Life’s a Bar.” Hailing from Flint, Michigan, Graphene’s determination is evident in his work ethic and drive, whether it’s training for the NFL or balancing hip-hop with a corporate career. With inspiration from a wide range of artists, like Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar, Graphene started devoting more focus to his music career in 2020. “Life’s a Bar” has a deep story that drives the distinct sounds. Recorded in his home office in The Bronx, Graphene’s hip-hop project adopts the metaphor of life as a bar.
