Coming out of Toronto, the indie artist Andrew Facciolo, known as FACHY in the music scene, is a vibrant songwriter and a natural leader. He co-created a rock band called Moving City and led them on a coast-to-coast journey, where they performed many times across Canada. Among FACHY’s awesome showcases of artistic talent is his performance at NXNE. The music FACHY writes and performs touches the heart and addresses the complex situation that is being a human in the world. His recent release “I Can’t Lie”, which was released on Spotify on March 22, 2020, is no exception to this and is FACHY’s debut single.

“I Can’t Lie” features a light and groovy guitar riff, a subtle yet lively bassline, and calm, emotional vocals. Its lyrics discuss the contradiction of being honest; on one hand, being honest brings us closer to the ones we care about, but on the other, it can also push them away and cause pain. The song ends without giving this problem a clear resolution, so the listener can immerse themselves in it as they are moved by the accompanying instrumentation. Once this happens, a deep reflection can begin as we ask ourselves if we have been honest on our own path and if the pain we face in our lives is something we regret.
