Each Measure Feature: Everything Ken X

Recorded at Studio 1515, “Now or Never” is a motivating single from Everything Ken X that had me nodding along with the beat. There’s a lot happening on the track, between a rhythmic bass line and ad libs, like from a phone beeping and the subsequent dial tone to the static shredding on the guitar. When you combine all of the sounds with Everything Ken X’s dominating vocals, it’s a dynamic single with a great message. He believes that music can inspire and create change, something I definitely agree with. 

 “Now or Never” is something worth listening to and actually hearing the words, with the artist stating, “Take everything a day at a time; a moment at a time, and make the most of it. Love is always the answer.” Everything Ken X felt inspired by his own personal growth and resistance to oppression to make the track. There’s a focus on themes of disrupting the system to take back power and an urgency to move through life with a purpose. He’s clearly tired of society being complacent and hoping to promote self-empowerment. Listeners can start feeling motivated by “Now or Never” to change and find their purpose this October.
