FEATURE

It's important to slow down sometimes. With life moving at us as fast as it does, it's crucial to take time to center ourselves, and breathe. To that end, Deuter's latest release, Mångata, reminds us how important it is to breathe, and to center ourselves. The album, consisting of nine songs, and capping out at one hour, embraces ambiance in its fullest, and draws upon a deep connection with the natural world. Deuter expresses this connection at its fullest in his music, the subtle, serene ambiance of Mångata fills your body and nourishes your soul in the best of ways.

As someone with a very deep connection to the spiritual side of life, I can tell you firsthand that meditation is one of the easiest and most grounding ways to begin your journey into that world. Of course in a perfect world, peace and quiet would be easy to come by, but unfortunately, we don't live in that world, and often the next best thing we can have is serene sounds to overtake the noise and stress of modern life. To that end, Mångata is the perfect album to center yourself in the face of such a distracting world, and to open yourself up to the turning of the universe.

Listening to it is ethereal, grounding, and invites you to embrace your connection to the universe in the same way that Deuter has to craft the wonderful experience he has prepared for us all.

For those of you who are familiar with Deuter's work, Mångata will make you feel right at home. Of course, if you're unfamiliar with the decades he's been gracing us with music, spanning over sixty albums, Mångata is a wonderful introduction to the German born artist, and a great addition to your meditation playlist.
