Each Measure Feature: The Bad Shots

FEATURE

With their debut EP, Powder Keg, ready to blow minds, British-French alt-rock trio The Bad Shots is here with a purpose. Hailing from Northwich, UK, Duncan handles lead vocals and guitar, while Stef and Adrian join him on vocals from the suburbs of Paris. Stef also plays bass while Adrian keeps the beat with the drums. After a chance first meeting at a Parisian dive bar, the trio bonded with the goal of delivering a good time and sharing positive energy through their music. Details are coming on a UK/France tour to bring their live energy to fans across Europe. Powder Keg captures the power of The Bad Shots’ performance with a blend of raw energy and confrontational style.

The Bad Shots created a signature sound with a mixture of synth, punk, and alt-rock melodies that make their way onto Powder Keg by storm. Reflecting on the emotional cocktail that comes after a breakdown in relationships, the lead single, “Quarrels,” is an anthem with distorted guitars and rage. Finding inspiration from The Pixies, the catchy pop hooks and chorus make “Quarrels” a mainstay for live performances. The rest of the Powder Keg EP displays the range of The Bad Shots, from the stadium-ready “Hiding Place” and the journey on “Synthetic lives” to the orchestral ballad of “Repentance.” With a goal to spread positivity, the debut EP from The Bad Shots shows they’re here to take the music scene on a great ride.
