Unraveling the Musical Layers of Paul Lewis & Romeo Rage’s Album “Sky's Rust”

THE ARTIST

Meet Paul Lewis & Romeo Rage, the dynamic duo behind the upcoming album "Sky's Rust" that is sure to shake up the rock music scene. With a chameleonic David Bowie and Prince influence, the duo channels rocking vibrations that are both theatrical and rebellious, freaky and provocative, and everything in between. The duo's innovative sound, fueled by Paul's eclectic vocal, guitar and keyboard writing style and John Sanders' technical drumming and jazz-fusion-inspired beats, showcases their versatility and experimentation with the cinematic and gothic. This is the sound of a band doing exactly what they want to do creatively and leaving caution to the wind.

THE MUSIC

Romeo Rage has been making waves in the music scene lately, with a three-song contribution to the soundtrack for the independent feature film "Dark State" that was released in AMC Theatres across the country in 2021. Co-produced with Paul Lewis and Emmy award-winning sound mixer Robert Venable, these songs gave us a glimpse of what was to come on their new album "Sky's Rust".

For Paul Lewis, the pandemic was a turning point that influenced his songwriting and lyrical approach. "Some of the tunes have been based on dreams. Lyrically especially. Some are based on a turning point in my life where I had to decide if I was even going to start a whole new project. I had already written half of the tunes and then while scoring a film I was inspired even more and just kept writing."

The result is "Sky's Rust", an album that features edgier and darker material while still maintaining a pop sensibility that's uniquely Romeo Rage. The album presents a variety of songs with different perspectives and moods. The album ranges from the dark and challenging tone of "Black" to the more optimistic and uplifting feel of "Little Bit of Rain." The duo has found some amazing musicians to play with and is now ready to bring their new sound to the world.

Dark, cinematic, and brimming with genuine emotion, "Sky's Rust" is a must-listen for fans of anyone from The Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys to Peter Murphy and Type O Negative. This album showcases each artist's ability to blur the lines between genres, creating a sound that's both controlled chaos and a unique audio journey. If success is upon creation, then Romeo Rage and Paul Lewis are definitely there with "Sky's Rust.”

Make sure to stay up to date on what Paul and Romeo will share next!

And then the glass will crack
