Each Measure Feature: Paul Jorgensen
FEATURE
Meet Paul Jorgensen, an electronic music producer who has been creating since the mid-1980s. Coming from an audio engineering background in Los Angeles, Paul found himself rooted in the 1980s music scene during his early days. Paul’s trek has been the relentless pursuit of sonic excellence, from the “Down Wind and Out of Tyme” cassette in 1986 to the “Seeds” domestic CD in 1994. Two solo releases later, “Somewhere, Somehow, Sometime, and Why Now?” demonstrates the ever-evolving sound of Jorgensen. Jorgensen finds himself in an exploration like no other, bathed in tribal beats and sonic innovation, solidifying the artist and JVC FORCE member/producer as a major pioneering force in the genre of electronic music.
Paul Jorgensen has, in "Somewhere, Somehow, Sometime, and Why Now?" (1993–2023), created a timeless work without regard to trends or fads. The album, his third as a solo artist, more than anything else, defines the direction one man and his music have taken these past thirty years. A double vinyl record engineered from the USA to Australia in the spirit between 1993 and 2023 reveals a collaborative genius piece with Daniel Brown on electric violin, Roger Ruzow and Adam Woogmaster on trumpet, Mark Giles on electric drum kit, and David Patterson on electric guitar. The album creates a vivid canvas for artistic exploration. "Somewhere, Somehow, Sometime, and Why Now?" has something for everyone, especially fans of the unconventional.
