Millennium Resorts Creates a New Definition for “HAPPINESS”
THE ARTIST
Millennium Resorts, a collaboration, between Scott Raulie and Jonathan Richerson from Austin, TX. This strong duo pushes the boundaries of music influenced by bands, like Radiohead and Pink Floyd infusing synthwave elements. Drawing inspiration from the textures of Slowdive and Pale Saints, progressive synth sounds of the 70s and 80s, Millennium Resorts invites listeners on an intentional and immersive journey. The album "In The Key of David " which is their concept album goes beyond the confines of any genre. It leaves the interpretation of its themes and story to each listener. While some may draw comparisons to cyberpunk or dystopian themes, Millennium Resorts emphasizes that their creation transcends computers and robots. Millennium Resorts has created a concept album called "In The Key of David ". They have given us a taste of what is to come with their song "Happiness." This track is a mix of sub genres appealing to fans of Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, M83 and My Bloody Valentine. With it’s atmosphere and powerful presence "Happiness" sets the stage for an album experience. Inspired by VH1s "Behind the Music" and E True Hollywood story, this album promises a journey with interconnected themes and deep thematic exploration.
Scheduled for release on January 26th the full album is a fusion of synthpop, EDM, shoegaze and cinematic elements. It encourages listeners to engage in an all encompassing musical experience. Crafted by Millennium Resorts with production by The Gluten Freemasons "In The Key of David" brings together pop sounds, cinematic influences, synthwave elements, shoegaze aesthetics and indietronica vibes.
