Cross-genre singer-songwriter Luke Borchelt is a country singer and proud Marylander. Luke taught himself how to play guitar at 23 and started writing songs to share with his close friends and family. He draws inspiration from a range of artists, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Frank Ocean, Atmosphere, and Tyler Childers. His music is a testament to his roots in Maryland and reflects a blend of influences from country and DMV hip-hop, resulting in his unique sound, which is evident in his released album “Every Rain.”

One may ask what makes the album special; for anyone listening to the album, the album's uniqueness won't be hard to notice after the first three tracks, “Same Old Square,” “Every Rain,” and "Itchin'," all rooted in country music. With unique vocals for country songs, Luke put his all into the album, and one track to single out will be “Every Rain." The title track, being inspired by personal experience, is a testament to what can be achieved without leaving a place. The blend of acoustic guitar with his unique quality vocals off an enjoyable track as well as gives a great depth of meaning to every line of the lyrics.

The nine-track album shows Luke's uniqueness as each track gives a distinctive sound while not steering away from his trademark music sound. One can say the artist is making a great statement on the national stage with his storytelling ability, which feels like a chat over a drink with his originality influenced by his Maryland roots. “Every Rain” is the kind of album that makes you fall in love with country music and one that captures the attention of a country music lover.
