THE INTERVIEW

What song or moment in time sparked your passion for music?
As far as I can remember, I've always loved music. My parents say music was the only thing that could make me stop crying as a baby. I don't remember a specific turning point in my life where my passion for music emerged. But the pandemic was when I started to have the time to pursue music.

If you had to create a Mount Rushmore of inspiration, what four individuals molded the artist you are today?

The faces on my mount rushmore of inspiration would be Journey, OneRepublic, Ed Sheeran, and Michael Jackson.

How does your creative process work from the moment you develop the idea to the completion of the record?
Typically, I start with one of two things: a concept, or a melody. From there, I figure out the other one, and then I flesh out the lyrics. I usually go through a couple revisions of the lyrics before I reach the final version.

As for this release, who is the producer and what about the production moved you?

The producer for this song was Mykyl, and I really loved the crunchy guitar in the chorus, the auxiliary percussion, and the bass in the verse.

When it comes to the songwriting on this record, what is the message you want to get across to your listeners?

I want listeners to feel empowered to chase their dreams. this song is for everyone who has ever been told they couldn't ever make it at something. your life is in your hands.
