Each Measure Feature: American Blonde

Just in time for Fall weddings, American Blonde has dropped their tongue-in-cheek single, “Broke Bridesmaid.” As a group, American Blonde’s goal is for people that have felt the pressure to spend way too much on a wedding, which is all-too real. As Natalia of the sister duo says,  “We all know the struggle can be real sometimes. Our hope is that this song brings people together, and we can all laugh about it.” The sisters of American Blonde have a great harmony on the track that, while humorous, takes on the real stress of trying to be a responsible adult while keeping up with wedding obligations.

“Broke Bridesmaid” is very catchy, with the chorus being in my head by the end of my first listen, and has a fun sound. Most adults can relate to being on a budget while having obligations to family or friends that we may not be able to afford. “Broke Bridesmaid” is a playful way to relate and bring people together. It might even convince people to have events within their means and be understanding of their bridesmaids, because we all know dresses and party planning can get expensive. Whether you’re feeling the financial burden of wedding season, you’ve been there, or you want a quirky anthem, American Blonde’s “Broke Bridesmaid” is right on time.
