YME is an artist from the Netherlands. For anyone who enjoys industrial rock, YME will be a definite treat with songs like “This is Me” and “I Rule the World.”

When I first started listening to “Love Yourself,” I was thinking, “Wait, this sounds like industrial rock” (I love industrial rock), but, based on the image I had seen of YME, I was expecting a pop sound. I was soon pleasantly surprised by the song, with its melodic synth and the artist’s beautiful and edgy vocals.

I found it amazing how she wrote such a positive and uplifting song and then delivered it in a mellow rock package. Speaking of the way this track is packaged, the single’s cover is a very cute and sweet image of the artist kissing her own reflection, which brings me a warm feeling from the cover art alone.

The lyrics of this single produced by YME are full of encouragement to accept and love who you are because often we will find quite the opposite from others in life. I think this song should be in everyone's playlist, especially for those days when we find it the most difficult to live with that person in the mirror.

I definitely encourage anyone who may be reading this to go check this track out. I see big things for YME in the future, and I look forward to hearing more songs as they are released!
