Each Measure Feature: The Project
FEATURE
James Davis, lead guitarist in 00's SoCal band Shameless, was an iconic staple in the Cali-rock music scene, gaining international attention by winning Best Hard Rock Band at the Southern California Music Awards in 2006, in addition to nine other Rock City News and Inland Empire Music Awards and worldwide airplay. Back at it this time with The Project, a new band supergroup blending pop with metal led by the star power vocals of James's former Shameless bandmate Jeff Plant as well as the talented Pump5 drummer Andre Bonter. You can also expect some surprise band member appearances. The project is sure to include an electrifying array of different styles of music erupting from the band.
“Hope” follows up as the fifth release from The Project, a collaborative effort between James Davis and Dennis Hill featuring Nathan Walker, ex drummer of the band “Lit.” With heavy guitar strums and vocals that are filled with hopeful desire, encouragement and harmonious tones, it’s a must listen. It all comes together with an undeniable energy of fast-paced rhythm that sounds like its very purpose is meant to motivate and inspire. “Hope” is another contagious blend of demanding, hard-driving rhythms that are powered by the snap of the snare and beat of the drum.
