Chill Out in Vibeland with RPxSB’s New Album “Shaggy Carpets”
THE ARTIST
RPxSB is a San Francisco-based collective formed by childhood friends Roddy Picante and Stay-Bizzy, whose creative output spans various mediums with a weird and quirky edge that incorporates horror, sci-fi, and comedy. They've built an entirely separate multiverse called Vibeland where their creative segments coexist, including a music video for "Abduction" told out of order in a Tarantino-esque fashion. RPxSB's tagline, "Rock Plaid and Survive Bullshit," pays homage to classic San Francisco's blue-collar, union grit, with Roddy as a firefighter in the city and Bizz' family residing in the Excelsior District for generations. They embrace the challenges of life, toast to them with drinks, and keep it weird in Vibeland, where substances are welcome.
THE MUSIC
This album boasts a diverse range of vibes that cater to various moods. The track "Shaggy Carpets" creates a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for unwinding while under the influence. On the other hand, "Sensual _ Boom Boom Room" exudes confidence and humor, encouraging listeners to feel good and go after their desires. "Chinchilla" takes a more introspective approach, delving into the theme of self-discovery and navigating through life. The album as a whole showcases exceptional instrumentation, featuring captivating hip hop, and lo-fi beats. The two artists behind it all display a remarkable level of talent, delivering consistent tone and flow throughout.
