Emerging from Liverpool, RISE is a four-piece band that puts a modern synth twist on the rock genre. RISE consists of Sam Kinley (aka stayMellow) on bass and vocals, Paul Kinley on keyboard and backing vocals, Alex Mahoney on drums, and Brian Petch on Guitar. RISE will get your head bopping and feet moving with their high-tempo, energetic music combining synth, guitar, and Sam Kinley’s sincere and emotionally charged vocals. Their recognizable sound is inspired by melodic rock, with a sprinkling of influence from 70’s progressive rock bands.

Their new single Here I Am was released May 23rd. It is a culmination of their unique sound, encompassing the musical vibe of RISE and their emotionally vulnerable lyricism– a consistent theme in the band’s music. Here I Am is part of a larger EP titled “Memories and Possibilities,” recorded and produced by musical genius Rob Whiteley at Whitewood Studios in Liverpool. In their new single, they sing about the dedication needed for a long-term relationship. Simply put, Here I Am is about “being there” for each other throughout the years. Musically, the build-up of the synth and guitar to the final chorus reflects the upbeat outlook they preach in their lyrics. Here I Am will take you on a musical journey of rock n’ roll guitar licks, bright synth rhythms, and sweet, melodic vocals.
