THE ARTIST
Omer Luz, a Tel Aviv-based artist, is a beat-maker, DJ, and producer best known for his glitched grooves and spacey beats. Despite his traditional jazz background as a trained keyboard player, he has honed his turntablism and DJ skills over the years and is considered a turntable authority. Spacey has been active worldwide as an electronic artist for more than a decade. You can find him performing live or DJing at stages, clubs, and festivals, as well as composing soundtracks for TV and film, and creating art installations and exhibitions in galleries.
THE MUSIC
Opening with a bouncy set of chords, Spacey wastes no time washing into punchy fills and custom-crafted drum patterns. Glitches and stabs alongside vocal chops take you deep into the world wielded upon you. The live session visual was the directorial debut of Meital Ner and set an experience that brought this performance to life.
