Each Measure Feature: Myah
FEATURE
Indie artist and filmmaker MYAH has comically, yet savagely, responded to a breakup with her “messy” ex-boyfriend with her new single, “The Lobby.” Myah sends a strong “BREAK-UP BURN” in grand style. The artist has shown how creative she can be with even the most unlikely situations as she crafts a truly remarkable piece of work in this song. “The Lobby,” as a track, has a pop/heavy metal feel to it. The song started with a soft guitar and light drums, then proceeded to heat up with the infusion of the electric guitar halfway into the song. The track "The Lobby" is quite enjoyable with no loose ends with a perfectly written lyrics with the perfect sound one can imagine
In the music video for the song, the artist went ahead to make her message clearer, using a parody of several of her exes’ movies and throwing in several comical scenes just for the fun of it. The childlike energy showcased in the music video is very appealing and has received many positive comments, especially from her young audience. The music video might not be the most colourful of videos, but it still was able to achieve its purpose, which is passing a message to her ex with a fun vibe. Besides giving off a fun vibe, the video shows that she isn't broken by her breakup, and she has moved on fine, almost caring less.
Overall, “The Lobby” is a song that doesn’t just serve as a go-to breakup song but also an energetic piece of work to brighten up the gloomiest of days.
