Each Measure Feature: Madam Who?
FEATURE
After twenty years of hard work, this song is a true gem. It sums up the wisdom that her grandmother passed on through the generations about preserving an intimate relationship. The tune, flavored with humor and eccentricity, develops measuredly around a catchy synth hook into a narrated verse that opens up the scene. However, it’s that moment when the broad force of the band during the chorus really runs the gamut, a magical moment will be impossible to erase from memory. With its fervent energy and people-pleasing vibes, this tune is a tribute to love's resilience and the advice passed down through the ages to us all.
Unquestionably, when Madam Who? saw the PBS documentary "The Complete Beatles," she wanted to be a Beatle. She traded in her piano for a guitar and bought her first instrument at Sears. She got a foothold in the industry while earning a music business degree at Belmont University. She got exposure on the Star Search redux, too, and "Jimmy & Doug's Farmclub" at Los Angeles' Dragonfly was shared with Creed and Godsmack. They climbed to the top 10 in the American Music Award's New Music category, yet disaster struck on September 12, 2001, just as their career was getting started. Madam Who? was undaunted and took all of life's turns, starting with surviving a brain tumor. Fifteen years later, an incident of near drowning brought back her passion and put her on Good Morning America. Thus does she aspire; a light... The strivings of all for hope and knowledge are in her story, overcoming adversity through self-fortitude and a heart that others may be like her and find inner strength for their dreams as well as being.
