Each Measure Feature: Love Ghost

FEATURE

While lead creative Finnegan Bell has commanded a legion of genre-blending Emo, Pop, and Rock tracks, Love Ghost have solidified themselves as indie music leaders with each passing release, drawing love from the ranks of Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and FLAUNT along the way. With unforgettable evenings headlining Auditorio BB, Mexico City’s Indie Foro Rocks, plus performances alongside Zurdok, Justin Caruso, and more for Amazon’s Gamergy Festival, they lit hearts on fire across the Latin American music and arts hub. Now, poised to set the indie music scene on fire, Love Ghost is preparing several intoxicating releases primed to flip the script on the entire genre again.

“Luna Azul” is at once nostalgic and fresh, inspired and authentic. It begins like the anthem of a bygone time, with an indie rock drum bed and edgy vocals. The song remains committed to these sounds, even when dashing between the bounds of Love Ghost and their Mexican compatriots and featured artists Helian and MONDE. The result is a complex tune that is sanded smooth and effortlessly large. And while the rock drums and hip-hop gusto spin against the indie rock’s punk lead vocals, it is the contrast in these voices that makes all of the difference. It is a stand out track for a collaborative EP that drips with the excitement of Love Ghost’s one of a kind approach.
