Emerging onto the music scene in 2022 with the Autism Awareness themed supergroup Embrace The World (featuring the West End's Caroline Kay and nu-folk artist Emma Langford), Cork's Kevin Walsh soared straight to #1 on iTunes, #19 on the Irish Homegrown Charts, appeared on the Six O'Clock Show, and headlined AslAm's Same Chance World Autism Conference 2022. Emboldened, he has now decided to strike out on his own as a solo artist, as he is set to captivate audiences once again with his latest single, “Ruby.”

“Ruby,” a heartfelt, poignant piano ballad, delved into an intimate vocal approach and revealed soft vocals that resonate well with the track's essence, which is connecting with one's love. Opening with a simple contemplation of communication, “Will I send a text or an email?" Or should I make a phone call?” The single reveals the longing for communication with the artist's love alongside piano and strings in the background, making a perfect orchestra. Kevin finally taps into a softer tone of his vocals after a series of trainings. One can say his training paid off with his brilliant vocal work on the track. This new shade of vocal is perfect for "Ruby,” making it a perfect match. 

Crafting a sound that will stand the test of time and promises to be evergreen and impossible not to love with “Ruby,” Kevin delivers a captivating and gentle sound with his rich vocal performance to offer a dazzling musical moment. With his forthcoming debut EP on the horizon, we can be sure that the talented artist has great things in store. We can only patiently look forward to the rest of 2024 and beyond to see what he has in store.
