THE INTERVIEW

If you had to create a Mount Rushmore of inspiration, what four individuals molded the artist you are today?

Mick Jagger, Kate Bush, Tina Turner, David Guetta but of course there are so many others like Ella Fitzgerald, Dolly Parton, Carole King, Kylie Minogue, Norah Jones, Whitney Houston, and Taylor Swift. Wow.

Were there any specific experiences or events in your life that influenced the song's lyrics?

Yes, I am always influenced by my own life experiences. I believe you can only write from your own heart. It’s interesting but when you go through heart aches you can create some of your best art. My song ”LA” from my album “Inappropriate” has helped a lot of my listeners.

Can you share any interesting anecdotes about the song's development with your co-writers or producers?

I did a duo with sexy Amelle ex Sugababes and the press came out with wild stories about us. We are both happily married so it was quite amusing.

What was the biggest takeaway or lesson you learned while creating this song?

My song with living legend StoneBridge! I love working with StoneBridge! Maybe because of our Scandinavian Viking roots but I feel we get each other. We have already collaborated on Shake That Booty, D.R.A.M.A, So In Love With You and now Starry Night. I believe that if you have the right chemistry it just works. It should be easy and enjoyable.

How has your recent growth as an artist influenced the direction of your future work?

As I love every genres I feel very open minded. I will write music that inspires me today.
