Jameson Tabor's Empowering New Single "In The Glove" Celebrates Newfound Freedom

THE ARTIST

Introducing LA-based Artist, Jameson Tabor, the triple threat of the music industry as a singer, songwriter, and producer. With the release of his debut EP "PURSUIT," Jameson has made a name for himself in the music world with his electrifying dance-pop beats and his newest sub-genre sensation, bluestep. This artist is taking the scene by storm with his soulful voice and a refreshing take on modern masculinity that's both playful and sensitive. Accomplishing the Best Music Video award at the Eurasia International Film Festival for his hit song "Pull Me In," and the Global Music Awards for "Black Dust" in 2020, these accolades are a testament to Jameson's dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in his music.

THE MUSIC

Giving listeners a retro-futuristic take on pop similar to artists like Robin Thicke and Bruno Mars, “In The Glove” contains a funk-filled bass, thoughtful key changes, compelling storytelling and synth-laced hooks that has an undeniable groove. The fun and sensual nature of this record masks the concept behind the song being the theme of manipulation and deceit at the beginning of a relationship. In the song, Jameson presents both sides of the story as the manipulator and the victim in a love affair gone wrong. With his exceptional songwriting skills and artistic production choices, Jameson presents a message that's both personal and relatable to anyone who has experienced being taken advantage of by someone they trusted.

He collaborated with producer/artist Mark Evich to take the song to new heights. The two were able to create a track that perfectly captures Jameson's emotions and experiences. In the bridge, Jameson dives deep into his mind to express his frustration and hurt, examining the duality of love and lust and standing in his truth about the boundaries that were crossed. The track ultimately celebrates Jameson's newfound freedom and survival, making it a powerful listen. "In The Glove" was produced by Jameson Tabor and Mark Evich, with mixing by Elijah Merritt-Hitch and mastering by Aria Mastering.
