Emerging from the city of Marseille, France, Dr Dawsound, the French producer and songwriter, is a master of his craft; each track is perfectly arranged and recorded in his home studio. Given his unique method of composing, which involves forgoing any samples or loops in favor of notes and melodies, he creates pop dance that oozes diversity. Dr Dawsound likes to try his hand at various music genres: pop, dance, Latino pop, folk, and reggae. He himself does not perform or sing, but the soulful voices of various international artists are enough to color his songs with the correct palette.

Introducing “Universal Love," Dr Dawsound’s first album. This 12-track album is perfect pop dance music, melting with a vintage feel. All the songs feature beats and a rhythm that would take any listener right back to the grand 80s and 90s days. “Universal Love” contains masterpieces that sing a message of hope in a seemingly sad world. The album was also released in an instrumental-only iteration. “Universal Love” is a stunning debut and a perfect entry point into the world of Dr Dawsound. Spending years writing and performing as a child, Long Beach native Naomi Cheyanne was recognized for her talents early on. Immersing herself in RnB and Pop genres, Cheyanne’s distinct vocal melodies and intuitive lyricism was easily admired by listeners. Fueling her passion for writing and recording, Cheyanne started an independent music production company known as Smug Sounds in 2020 helping thousands of independent artists through songwriting, music production, marketing and playlist curating.
