Class Vee is a multi-talented American artist whose journey began as the frontwoman and creative force behind Tampa's Soltrio from 2019 to 2021, where she demonstrated her prowess as a singer, songwriter, and record producer through their EP "The Reality Is" (2021), before embarking on a solo adventure. She explored several genres, including pop, R&B, funk, soul, disco, and Latin, and her versatility came to be known as her trademark as she won fans over. Her solo debut was in 2021, with the tracks "IDK Why" and "Where Do We Stand," the latter serving as her breakout smash, with over 30,000 worldwide streams. The enthusiasm carried over into 2022, when she released "Love Resides" and the seductive Latin-infused ballad "Kissiera."

Class Vee's latest song, "Weirdos," is a lively tribute to her artistic diversity. The tune displays a lighthearted appeal, seamlessly blending her love of Pop/R&B with the enticing attraction of Hip-hop/Trap sounds. The alluring start transitions seamlessly into an unexpected 808 drop, propelling you into an entirely new dimension of sound. Class Vee pushes musical boundaries with "Weirdos," taking listeners into a world where musical limits are thrown aside in favor of an unexpected and thrilling auditory experience. The song captures the spirit of her distinctive ability, producing a joyful and fun-filled ambiance that connects with people who love the beauty of musical fusion.

THE INTERVIEW

If you had to create a Mount Rushmore of inspiration, what four individuals molded the artist you are today?

That is very difficult to choose since I could love an artist because of one song and how it made me feel. Versus, following albums and each song. Ultimately decades are my choice lol. But if I must only choose four, I'd choose: Fleetwood Mac, Selena, Bruno Mars, Donna Summer.

Were there any specific experiences or events in your life that influenced the song's lyrics?

I would say my own. I like joking around a lot, I'm cheesy I enjoy being goofy and sometimes it can come accross as weird lol.
But the point is that there's nothing unusual or odd you could do with your partner because they know that's how you are, they let you be you and that's what they like.

Can you share any interesting anecdotes about the song's development with your co-writers or producers?

The song is a little different than what you'd expect because the vocals are soft and cute, meanwhile the beat drops and and it's a hiphop/trap beat. But in my opinion it works! When I heard the music it reminded me a little bit of Ariana Grande. But I made it my own way I wasn't trying to sound like anyone. The title is misplaced/Misspelled because some view weird as being outcasts or sometimes a little negative. So I rearranged the letters to:
Were
In
Every
Random
Department
Of
Silliness

Making something "Weird" into something unique. It's not what you expect and that's the point.

What was the biggest takeaway or lesson you learned while creating this song?

Hmmmm I luckily have no takeaways I'm proud with this song and how it turned out. Lesson wise, just like most musicians you can't let certain comments or criticism get the best of you. You won't make everyone happy. But as long as I'm happy and proud of what I have done, that's all that matters to me.

How has your recent growth as an artist influenced the direction of your future work?

Every song I have released for far has its own uniqueness. I love a lot of styles of music so my goal is as my fan base continues to grow and more people discover music, see what they prefer and focus a little more on that. My style is inspired between the 60s and early 2000s. So there is a lot to unload here lol. But my passion is Nostalgia with a touch of modern edge. I find anything before 2010 had more uniqueness and creativity than now. And I believe people are getting tired of the same song's, the same voice, the same story. And that's what I want to share with my audience.
