Each Measure Feature: Carson Ferris

FEATURE

In a mix of catchy electro-pop beats and heartfelt lyrics, singer-songwriter Carson Ferris’s latest single “Ghosts” can’t be missed. Though only 14 years old, Ferris is nothing short of a talented musician. His music career began with electric guitar at 6 years old and rock influences. Coming out of the pandemic, Ferris began recording music in Los Angeles in 2021 with his songs Crazy and Drive Alone being commended in 2023. Created with producer Matthew Parker, “Ghosts” comes 9 months after his last single and is a pop song the likes of which are heard on top radios.

“Ghosts” was released July 5th, 2023. Though it began as a groovy dance track, Ferris’s final vision for “Ghosts” was more of a chill electro-pop vibe. Upon first listening, that is exactly the energy that comes through. The song opens with a classic pop beat and takes you through an exciting journey whose beats build into a full, layered chorus. It’ll be hard not to nod your head along by the end of these well-produced four minutes. Lyrically, Ferris writes about letting go of toxic relationships and people– a message that resonates with many audiences. At just 14 years old, “Ghosts” is proof of Ferris as an emerging talent.
