THE ARTIST
Hailing from Switzerland Ajay Mathur is a singer songwriter known for blending genres such, as rock, pop, Americana and even traditional Indian music. He has received a Grammy nomination for his projects "9 to 3" and "Little Boat" and his music has gained recognition on music charts. In fact he was honored with the title of "Germanys Best English Language Album of the Year 2018" by the Pop Foundation. According to Joe Hughes of Alternative Nation Ajay's music has been compared to artists like Bob Dylan and The Beatles due to its appeal. Additionally Ajays music video "Start Living Again" was selected as a finalist in The Artists Forum Festival Of Moving Images held in Manhattan. With his output and versatile approach to music Ajay has become a figure in today's vibrant music scene.
THE MUSIC
Mathur's album, titled "Blow My Cover " presents a captivating collection of melodies and a zest for life that can mesmerize fans of artists like Tom Petty, David Bowie and The Beatles. Each track on the album holds significance. Showcases exceptional musical talent. For this project Mathur invited 25 musicians from around the world to collaborate resulting in the creation of 13 songs spanning genres such as folk, rock, classical and jazz. The album as a whole conveys a message by illustrating what can be achieved when musicians come together to trust and collaborate with one another. Grammy Winner Austin Asvanonda was responsible for engineering the project creating a soundscape that can be enjoyed through stereo speakers or headphones. Ultimately "Blow My Cover" embodies musicianship that leaves a lasting impact, on the music scene.
